As you perform an inspection, you may come to a room that cannot be inspected (for example, an unruly pet is being contained in one of the bedrooms) or you may find that a detail is not actually present on the property (for instance, there is no dishwasher or dishwasher cutout in the Kitchen area although the Dishwasher detail is listed).
In either case, simply tap the circled X button for the Area (to mark it as Not Inspected) or for the Detail (to mark it as Not Present).
When a detail is marked as Not Present during an inspection and the inspection is submitted, the excluded detail is actually removed from the property and no longer available during subsequent inspections.
When an Area is marked as Not Inspected it will be available during the next inspection. If you need to permanently remove an Area from a property for the purposes of future inspections, you can do so in the Edit Areas menu (on the app) or in View/Edit Areas menu (on the website). An area should only be deleted from a property to reflect an actual layout change (e.g., remodel) of the real property or if the property was created in zInspector with an Area that doesn’t actually exist on the property.
