This topic video is intended for advanced zInspector admin users who are experienced with template customization and who need this specific control over the areas that appear in a condition-based template. It is not required or recommended for most users.
In this example, a Preventative Area is present on all properties that includes items such as Gutters, Flashing, and Winterization items that are useful for inspections completed by property management inspectors but not likely relevant for tenant-completed inspections.
In the Condition Table line, the word “all” in the default setup is used to show all Areas associated with the property / unit in the template. In the example, “all” is replaced with “!Preventative” to show all areas with exception of the Preventative area.
Many variations are possible, depending on your needs. When creating an exterior inspection template, substitute “all” with “yard” so that only Areas that partially match “yard”—Front Yard, Side Yard, or Back Yard—are displayed in the template.
This function also supports a string input: for instance, substitute “all” with “Dining, Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom” and only those listed areas display in the template.
The video below shows how to implement this level of customization.
