What is a Property?

To make inspections and photo-searches easy and intuitive, zInspector treats every single-family residence, unit in a multi-unit residential or commercial building, and common area in a multi-unit building (such as a courtyard, parking level, or common recreation room) as a separate Property.

For the most part, you can think of a zInspector “property” as synonymous with “unit” (or “door” in property management parlance).

Creating Properties

To create properties in zInspector, you have several options:

1. Create properties on the go with the zInspector 3 mobile app.
2. Create properties from your computer on the zInspector website.
3. Import properties through an accounting software integration (highly recommended).
4. Import properties in bulk with the Spreadsheet Import Tool (for experienced users only).
