zData has many great uses for property managers ready to get a handle on the more info-intensive aspects of their process. Capturing, organizing, and easily referencing appliance model and serial numbers is one of the biggest challenges and priorities that zData can help you resolve, one inspection at a time. Capture appliance info with zData to:
- Effortlessly search relevant appliance service recall notices.
- Efficiently communicate and dispatch repair techs and servicers.
- Quickly identify good options for a particular cutout when it comes time to replace.
- Definitively verify that tenants don’t swap out the good appliances with lower quality ones when they move out—believe us, it happens!
Capture zData During an Inspection
Capture important appliance info (such as model and serial number) during an inspection and or reference an existing zData entry for verification or other purposes. zData is currently enabled automatically on all default (non-customized) condition-based inspection templates including Move In and Move Out. The next time you perform an inspection, you will see zData fields available for all area details, as in the following example:
Simply tap on the relevant zData field and enter your appliance info.
Not seeing the zData field in your condition-based inspection? You can add zData to your customized template to enable it.
Capture zData During a Property Visit
Sometimes you’ll want to capture zData when not performing an inspection. For example, you may stop by a property to check on a repair request. It’s a good time to grab the model and serial number for the affected appliance—and even for the rest of the appliances on the property while you’re at it.
In the zInspector 3, simply specify a property , then tap the Edit Areas button:
Expand the relevant area, tap to add the zData, and that’s it.
