zInspector is integrated with Rent Manager! Easily sync your Rent Manager properties with your zInspector account. You can find links to video tutorials at the bottom of this page.
Rent Manager User Setup: Request Access
Step 1) Log in to Rent Manager and go to Settings then click on the Admin tab and click on Available Integrations.
Step 2) Search for zInspector and click Request Access. We will be notified of your request and will activate your account within a few hours. The video below provides a visual example of these instructions.
PLEASE NOTE: This feature is only available for paid zInspector account holders.
ALSO NOTE: If your payment information is up-to-date in zInspector, but you do not see Available Integrations on your Rent Manager account, it is possible you do not have the permissions in Rent Manager to set up an integration. If this is the case, please contact your RM administrator.
How to Synchronize Data Between zInspector and Rent Manager
Step 1) In your zInspector web account, go to Settings and then Admin Settings. Then click on Accounting Software Integration.
Step 2) Select Rent Manager from the drop-down menu and click the Add / Change button under Link. (Note: this example account already has Rent Manager enabled, but yours should say ‘Disabled’ in red under Status).
Step 4) Before clicking ‘Enable,’ make sure to double-check the information under Map. There you can change what types of properties are imported and also edit Property Areas. Many users are content with the default settings that zInspector uses, but it’s better to check them all before enabling the integration. More information on these settings can be found in the video tutorial (see the end of this article) around the 6-minute mark.
Step 5) Under Options, you may choose to change the format of the property display names in the Property tab. We suggest that you be wary about changing this format once you enable the integration—if done incorrectly, it could lead to duplicate properties.
Step 6) Make sure to select the checkbox under the Reports tab. We recommend waiting on checking the boxes under Tenants or Owners since we are still working on them and checking them may lead to a slower sync.
Step 7) Click Enable and follow the prompts until the sync begins. Once the sync is complete, your Rent Manager properties should be available on your zInspector account. zInspector automatically re-syncs with Rent Manager every few hours, but you can also force sync anytime on the Accounting Integration page.
Your Rent Manager properties will have also synced with users on the zInspector website and mobile app. Once you complete an inspection, a copy of the report will be sent to your email, and you can also find the report on your Rent Manager account under Unit History.
