zInspector creates work orders automatically for you whenever you mark something as an Action item (!) during your inspection. You can use zInspector to send a work order to a vendor or you can easily copy and paste the work order information to any other task management software.
All work orders are listed under a specific task, depending on the Action type selected during the inspection. For example, if you specify three items as Maintenance and five items as Repairs, that will create two tasks in zInspector. One task will be for Maintenance listing all three work order items and the other task will be for Repairs, again listing all five work order items.
Once you submit your inspection, you will receive separate emails for each task. Each email will list all the work order items for that task along with relevant comments as well as a public link with all the work order photos. You can easily copy that text with the work orders and paste it into any other software or send it to your maintenance team.
Additionally, you can manage your tasks on the zInspector website, under Tasks. For each task, you can find all the work orders with any relevant comments listed under the tab Work Order Instructions. You can also view all that information in a text format and easily copy it by clicking on the eye button to “Show Text Version”:
Under the Work Order Photos tab, you can review all the photos linked to the task. You can also click on the down arrow on any given photo to remove it from the task.
Under the Related Photos tab, you can find photos that are not linked to the task but were taken during your inspection. By clicking on the up arrow you can add any of these photos to the task.
When you update the photos that are linked to the task, the public link for all the photos will automatically update as well to show all the new photos.
